"Equity, equity, equity"—leaders love to throw around this word, especially in diversity statements and mission documents. But far too often, the concept of equity stops at the surface, reduced to a buzzword rather than a guiding principle. True equity is not about using the word repeatedly; it’s about embedding fairness into every decision, ensuring everyone has a real opportunity to succeed.

In a world that often glorifies competition, true leaders understand a higher truth: “Competition is a low vibe; at the top, we are collaborating.” This mindset sets real leaders apart from those driven by insecurity and fear. Instead of viewing others as competitors, genuine leaders are confident in their own path. They trust that what is meant for them will come and don’t need to rely on manipulation, deception, or unethical tactics to succeed.

In an ideal world, leadership is a force for good—empowering teams, fostering growth, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity. But when leaders abuse their power, it can create a toxic environment that’s harmful to employees and detrimental to an organization’s success. Far too often, toxic leaders operate unchecked, creating workplaces where employees feel silenced, disrespected, and even trapped.

In any organization, the impact of leadership is monumental. A leader’s words and actions set the tone, create the culture, and, ultimately, dictate the success or failure of their teams.
